The House
The House

Facing south, The House basks in sunshine all day long.

At ground level, entrance into the house from rue Jean Jaures is via the front door. This opens into the base of the beautiful cast iron stairwell which leads up to the first floor and main living area.

First Floor

Open plan kitchen and dining area with beamed ceiling and comfy sofa bed (sleeps two if required). Full ‘french windows’ with a small balcony – a glorious spot to sit with a book after lunch and those unique corner windows discovered during renovation provide a natural dining area. Full kitchen working surface with electric oven/grill and gas hobs, kettle, large washing area with good drainage, good sized fridge.

Up two steps into a long bedroom containing bunk beds and one single bed (3 in total), wardrobe and chest of drawers. Also on this floor is the main washroom with toilet, washbasin and corner shower, featuring the exposed ancient washing alcove and a former exterior window.

Second Floor

Second Floor: Main bedroom with large double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps below the revealed beamed ceiling. Full-length glazed door opening south onto a small balcony with unbroken views.
On the west wall, double ‘french windows’ open on to the terrace. Although shared with The Studio, this is completely private and provides a quiet spot to relax and read with a cool drink and lashings of sun barrier cream. There is a wonderful view from the second floor over the vineyards towards the sea and at Easter the Pyrenees can be seen in the distance capped with snow!

The Studio

Useful for overflow accommodation, The Studio has its own front door from street level and features another graceful, cast iron staircase. The living area comprises: a new kitchenette utility; small sink, two electric hobs and a fridge, table, three chairs and a standard lamp. Double glazed doors with shutters, open on to a balcony with detailed cast iron balustrade. The ensuite bedroom has a new double bed, wardrobe and chair. A small room within the bedroom houses a generous, curved corner shower, w/c and hand basin. A small opaque window opens onto the terrace.

Facilities for the terrace comprise: patio table and parasol, four chairs and one sunlounger. The shutters on the terrace can be closed to improve safety for small children.

Parking

Parking is available immediately in front of the house by the garage; where the washing machine, barbecue and bike storage can be located.
